Carnival City Convention was
hosted by Pernik a former
mining region being restored to its beautiful former self a short drive
from the capital City of Sofia Bulgaria. The region of Pernik has
been at the crossroads of the Mediterranean region for many millennia,
an ancient land rising to join the information revolution while
resurrecting its past.
The
myths informed by the archeological remains around the great Festival of
Masks in Pernik are 6,000 years old. Pernik hosts the Bulgarian
Carnival which best honors the ancient Carnival traditions of masking
